Eco-Smart reimagines climate action by putting powerful, localized information and decision-making tools directly in the hands of the most vulnerable urban and rural families, youth, and low-income communities who are often left out of traditional disaster warning systems and policy conversations.

Eco-Smart scores 8/9 on DPG criteria, failing only on Standards & Best Practices due to the absence of CI/CD and thin automated test coverage. The project demonstrates strong implementation quality: genuine SDG 13/11 alignment with Sierra Leone-specific features, solid privacy compliance with GDPR rights implemented in code, a working data export mechanism, platform independence via Supabase self-hosting, and reasonable harm prevention through admin moderation gates. The primary path to a full 9/9 score is adding a GitHub Actions CI pipeline (test + lint on every PR) and expanding TypeScript strict mode. Secondary actions: add CONTRIBUTING.md, expand test coverage to core services. The Sierra Leone geographic focus and combined reporting/campaigns/eco-marketplace approach provides genuine differentiation from existing DPGs.
